I'm a little late here, with Halloween behind us by more than an hour. But in the spirit of Halloween, and to kick off my blog, I thought I'd post a few creepy images from my collection.
Then, as now, there were people who were a little, or a lot, spookier than others. I always keep my eyes out for portraits of these people. This guy is spooky, but he also seems gentle. 1/6 plate daguerreotype. 1840s.
